The Life of Christ Museum in Fatima, known for its impressive representations of religious scenes and historical figures, is offering congress participants a 15 per cent reduction on tickets during the days of the Congress.
The 9th International Congress of Mary Help of Christians, which will take place from 29 August to 1 September 2024, will bring more than 1,200 participants from various parts of the Salesian world to Fatima. In view of the importance of this event, and in order to provide an enriching cultural experience, the Life of Christ Museum has decided to associate itself with the meeting.
Situated in Cova da Iria, the Life of Christ Museum is a wax museum located near the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima. It was considered the third best wax museum in the world by Tony Julius, director of the London company that made the wax figures and former collaborator of Madame Tussauds Museum.
The Life of Christ Museum depicts the life of Jesus, from the Angel Gabriel’s annunciation to the Virgin Mary to Jesus’ ascension into heaven, in a total of 33 scenes, through 210 life-size wax figures dressed in clothes woven by Portuguese artisans.
