On 30 August, the Art&Sal of the Salesians of Funchal, with the support of the Salesian Foundation, will present the musical “Sons of Yes, A Musical According to Mary of Nazareth” at the International Congress of Mary Help of Christians.

When four brothers from a family who have also been surprised by life live their lives with all their fears, difficulties and desires, Mary is close by.

The brothers meet her in one way or another, in conversation or prayer. They go back to Nazareth and Mary’s adolescence and youth where, through her, they are led to discover a mystery greater than themselves. And by following Mary’s life and her witness of faith and courage in the face of what life asked of her, each of the four realises how they are heirs to that “Yes”.

The musical “Children of Yes, A Musical According to Mary of Nazareth” thus tells the story of four characters who discover that they are heirs to the “Yes” that changed the world forever.
