The 9th International Congress of Mary Help of Christians will take place in Fatima from 29 August to 1 September 2024. The registration process has ended and fees are now being collected.

The congress secretariat has received registrations from all over the Salesian world. The Congress will therefore be a great worldwide celebration of prayer and a meeting of devotees united around Mary.

The origin of the participants is as diverse as the spread of devotion to Our Lady Help of Christians. Devotees have registered from Angola, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Cameroon, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Congo, South Korea, Croatia, El Salvador, Ecuador, France, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Indonesia, Italy, Kuwait, Mexico, Mozambique, Papua New Guinea, Pakistan, Peru, Poland, Kenya, Senegal, Tanzania, East Timor, Tunisia, United States of America, Uruguay, Venezuela, Zambia and Portugal.

A total of 1283 participants and 132 support team members are registered. Of these 207 are religious men and women, 78 of whom are priests.

Talks at the congress will be in several languages, with simultaneous translation into Portuguese, Spanish, English, French and Italian. The most spoken language among the participants is expected to be Spanish, with almost half the number of registrants; followed by Portuguese, with over 400; and Italian, with nearly 200.

Some groups will take part in guided tours of the Shrine and the Way of the Cross, with programs organized by language: Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, English and French.

More information on the program and speakers will be released soon.
